SPECIAL ISSUES IN SOCIAL WORK ETHICS

Parts A and B  

These self-study courses, designed for the experienced practitioner, examine special challenges of ethical practice.  They will help you to... 

1. clarify commonly misunderstood ethical responsibilities and avoid common errors in interpretation of ethical responsibilities

2. effectively meet ethical responsibilities related to the course content

3. effectively demonstrate your accountability to ethical standards by focusing on the most relevant issues

Part A content covers relationships between ethics and malpractice, addressing spirituality in a secular practice, ethics of clinical documentation, and unprofessional conduct. 

Part B content covers the ethics of efficiency in social work practice, ethics issues in a managed care context, the duty to warn, unprofessional conduct, and a variety of other ethics issues.

Each part Includes engaging exercises and quizes. 

Special Issues in Social Work Ethics - Part A ACE#1010-E1005-1 is certified for social work ethics continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Berkeley Training Associates maintains responsibility for the program.

Special Issues in Social Work Ethics - Part B ACE#1010-E1205-2 is certified for social work ethics continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Berkeley Training Associates maintains responsibility for the program.

Social workers participating in either part will receive 3 continuing education clock hours (six CE clock hours for both parts).  Social workers should contact their individual regulatory board to review current continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.

Cost - Part A:  $45 (includes applicable taxes and shipping by Priority Mail).

Cost - Part B:  $45 (includes applicable taxes and shipping by Priority Mail).
