Hi Elias, welcome back to this wonderful forum.
I have found that the difference between the Savvvas Pickups is as follows.
BLACK SAVVAS: Quite middy, full sound
WHITE SAVVAS (With or without control dial) Treble, quite sweet, not as full as the Black Savvas. (I prefer this Savvas out of the whole range)
THIN WHITE SAVVAS: A lot of treble, not as full sound as it's brothers.
Personally I prefer the EMG. You should give it a go. I know that our friends from Skeezo Nick and Tom have them in stock.
At the end of the day sound is a personal thing. What might sound great to me may not be as apealling to others.
Good Luck, Dean Georgalas
