Hi BJ, Friday  night I stayed up way too late to pick up a new pup. His name is Cuddles and
he is pure delight. He is an 8 week old pomeranian pup with wonderful marketings and a personality to match.

I consider myself very lucky. You never know what you are going to get with a pup and this one is just perfect. Smart as a whip, lively and full of fun.

We are Not so Different-Jane's Sunday Sermon

Have you ever asked yourself how pups endear themselves to their owner?

I want you to think about it because it has everything to do with business.

Here's what pups do.

They lick your face, right? They lick your arms and shoulders, Right? It makes you feel like you are getting one continual kiss and who doesn't love that?

They cock their heads to listen when you talk which makes them look especially attentive as
well as cute so you keep talking. Am I right?

They prance around exploring everything and you have to prance around with them to make sure they don't chew the wires or fall off something they are too small to cope with. They lead you around by the nose and you love it, Right?

They respond to your voice. If is is stern, they know they have done something wrong and kind of skulk away. If your voice is  soft and loving, you get the face licks again. The tail wags and all is right with the world.

You are teaching. They are learning.

When they learn, you feel you have accomplished something. Am I right?

If you think what happens in business is any different, think again

Here's an example.

Yesterday, I got a wonderful email from one of our list members. She was very complimentary
about our business. She told me her sponsor had recommended us highly. She was requesting some credits from us and did not quite have all her ducks in order but...

I gave her the credits anyway.

Wouldn't you if someone approached you so nicely? Of course you would.

Like Cuddles, everyone likes to be stroked Does it get you something? You bet it can.

On the other hand, I also got an email yesterday from a woman who joined one of sites, never spent a momemt reading the site or listening to the training tapes-shot off 4 complaining emails to me one rigth after the other. They were unpleasant. They were filled with threats and they were downright nasty.

I always answer emails like that in the hopes that there is something, somewhere in the contact that I can reach and get the person to act like a business person. I amost always fail because someone who is a sour puss in business is usually one in life. I don't make much head way but I always hold out hope:)

After I answer one of these yucky emails, I skulk away like Cuddles does and then go on with my own productive life hoping that, even if I have not reach the sour puss, maybe someone will.

Here's the point.

In your business life, just like in your personal life, everyone likes to be treated with respect,
with kindness and with something akin to licks and kisses.

It always gets you so much further on the path to where you want to go.

Dog are great teachers.

They are very straight foward, loving and kind until someone mishandles them or abuses them and they can turn tough and ugly.

The Moral.

Whenever possible be a Cuddles not a jerk. It will get you where you want to go.
