From France To Norway
The S.S. America was Christened by Mrs. Elanor Roosevelt in 1939. The ship met an untimely demise in 1994 when her tow rope broke and she sank. For more information go to the links Navigation Bar and click on "Links" then on S.S. America





The S.S. Norway started its life as the S.S. France, the pride of the French merchant fleet. It was laid up in 1978, and eventually was refitted and named the S.S. Norway
