Welcome to the BALDT® Virtual Office

BALDT® has supplied  Anchors, Anchor and Mooring Chain and related Marine Hardware to the United States Government for over 100 years.

BALDT® supplied the Anchors and Chain for many United States Navy Ships including such famous Battleships as the USS ARIZONA BB-39, and the USS MISSOURI BB-63, (Now located next to the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, HI)

BALDT® supplied the Anchors and Chain for the USCGC Taney WPG-37, the only surviving ship from the Pearl Harbor Attack. (Now located in Baltimore, Maryland Maritime Musuem).

BALDT® more recently supplied the Anchors and Anchor Chain (in order of commissioning) for the USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG56), the USS BATAN (LHD5), the USS BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD6), and the USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD52).

BALDT® supplied the Anchor Chain and Accessories for the Military Sealift Conversions and New Construction Vessels (T-AKR).

BALDT® supplied the Anchors and Chain for many famous luxury liners including the SS CONSTITUTION, the SS INDEPENDENCE, the SS AMERICA. 

BALDT® supplied the Anchors and Chain for the SS United States, the last Luxuy Liner to hold the famous "BLUE RIBAND" signifying the fastest Atlantic Crossing

BALDT® supplied the Anchors and Chain for the world's only Nuclear Powered Freighter, the SS SAVANNAH.



BALDT® STOCKLESS ANCHOR IS THE ANCHOR OF CHOICE OF UNITED STATES NAVY

 

The BALDT® STOCKLESS ANCHOR  was developed by famous foundryman, Frederick Baldt, of Chester, PA. USA. Baldt recognized the fundamental superiority of the stockless tumbling fluke anchor and received a patent on the Stockless Anchor in 1896. 

 

 

In 1901 Baldt received a modification patent for an anchor of such superior design and quality that the words "BALDT" and "STOCKLESS" have become synonymous!
