The Adagio Trio was founded in 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio. We released our first CD “Stillpoint” in 1997. In October 1999, we released our second CD “Sanctuary”. In 2002, we released our first Christmas CD "Winter Gift". (Look at the Cincinnati Enquirer review!) The unique combination of harp, flute, and cello provides a fitting compliment for meditation or relaxation. Therefore, our CDs have been used in various venues such as massage clinics, yoga and meditation classes, retreat centers, music therapy, hospice, etc. We, for the most part, create our own arrangements of familiar tunes such as "Ashokan Farewell", "Shenandoah", Ave Maria", "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", "Pachelbel Canon in D", and "On Eagle's Wings". We have been featured on public radio stations throughout the country including ones in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, New York, Oregon, and California. Our music has been featured numerous times on WHRO radio in Hampton Roads and WGUC-FM in Cincinnati. In the first six weeks, the “Stillpoint” album sold over 1000 copies. Our albums have evoked many positive responses from people across the country.

There are some new public radio stations that have aired selections from Winter Gift this past Christmas season!! Most notably was WQED in Pittsburgh. WinterGift was also used last October in WQED's fund drive. Other public stations that agreed to air selections from our Winter Gift CD include WNED in Buffalo, NY and WDAV in Davidson, NC.
The Adagio Trio has now sold over 37,000 units of music! We are quite blessed to have done this with no distributors. Our unique brand of meditation music is a mixture of classical, folk, and religious music. We provide our listeners a sense of tranquility and spiritual renewal through the reflective selections and the beautiful tones of harp, flute, and cello.
