October Happy Hour!

IABA and AABA cordially invite all of you to the Attorney/Student Happy Hour on Thursday, October 9, 2008, 6pm to 8pm, at Lizzie McNeil's.  Come enjoy drinks and appetizers.  Cost is $10 for 2 drinks and appetizers.

This is a great opportunity to meet and catch up with your colleagues in the profession and meet local law students.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Dear Colleagues:

AABA and Chicago-Kent Law School are putting together a Law Student Career Forum for the Chicago area law students on October 25, 2008, from 10am-1pm (registration starts at 9:15).

We are looking for lawyers who are willing to share their work experiences with the students by sitting on one of the career panels for the Forum. It is a great way to not only help law students learn about different career options but also to meet and reconnect with the AABA membership.

The Forum will have three panels, including a law firm panel, a government/public interest panel, and an alternative legal careers panel. The Forum will also feature a resume/speed mentoring workshop. The students will rotate between the panels which will run fun forty-five minutes periods, so even if you cannot stay for the whole event we would love for you to volunteer for one of the sessions.
